Having considered the statement of the victim made to the police on January 7, 2020 in relation to the incident complained of dated January 1, 2020 to the effect that, the victim and the petitioner before us were in a relationship outside the marriage of the victim and having considered the materials placed on record before us, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only), with two sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
