1. Learned advocate representing the Jalpaiguri Municipality produces a copy of the instruction forwarded by its Chairman signed on 24th April, 2025 which mentions that considering all pros and cons, the municipality has decided not to process with the recruitment process initiated on 27th June, 2014.

2. The decision has been taken relying on the order dated 3rd March, 2025 passed by the Special Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Department of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs.

3. The communication gives rise to a fresh cause of action which cannot be adjudicated in the instant writ petition.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of. It will be open for the petitioner to challenge the action of the municipality in a fresh proceeding in accordance with law, if so advised.
