The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondent authorities to withdraw, cancel or set aside the impugned transfer order dated 22.12.2025 issued by Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force, whereby the petitioner has been transferred from Siliguri to Barpeta in the State of Assam. The petitioner has further prayed for a direction upon the competent authority to consider and dispose of his representation dated 18.02.2026.

It is the case of the petitioner that while serving in the State of Chhattisgarh in
the year 2021, he suffered serious injuries in a motor accident. According to the petitioner, he sustained multiple injuries including brain injury, eye paralysis, ear complications, injuries to elbow and knee, and urinary complications. It is submitted that due to such injuries, the petitioner occasionally loses consciousness and continues to require assistance of a walking stick for mobility. It is further submitted that the petitioner's minor son is suffering from Thalassemia. The petitioner states that a Medical Board, by its assessment dated 24.02.2025, placed him under medical category 'P3 (P)' and advised neurological and ophthalmological treatment. The said medical category has been recommended to remain valid for a period of two years, i.e., until 24.02.2027.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that in view of his precarious medical condition, petitioner submitted a representation dated 18.02.2026 before the Director General, CRPF, seeking reconsideration of the
impugned transfer from his present place of posting to Barpeta, Assam.

Mr. Mazumder, learned Deputy Solicitor General, submits that the present writ petition is premature inasmuch as the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026 is presently pending consideration before competent authority. He further submits that the said authority is ready and willing to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if the said representation dated 18.02.2026 is considered and decided within a time-bound period.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and the materials on record, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the Director General, CRPF to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026, by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law and the applicable rules, within a period of eight
weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied.
