1. Commercial quantity of narcotics was seized from the joint possession of the petitioner.

2. Prayer for bail is founded on the basis of no possibility of early trial since one of the accused is absconding and the period of detention. Moreover, it is complained that, no lady police official was present at the time of arrest as the petitioner is a lady.

3. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, trial may be split up.

4. Period of custody is 233 days.

5. Considering the gravity of the offence with which the petitioner stands charged with and the period of detention, however, I am not minded to invoke Article 21 of the Constitution of India at this stage.

6. State may take steps to split up trial if required.

7. Prayer for bail of the petitioner stands rejected.

8. CRM (NDPS) 164 of 2026 is dismissed.
