04.3.2025 Ct. No. 2 SB CALCUTTA HIGH COURT
IN THE CIRCUIT BENCH AT JALPAIGURI
W.P.A. 492 of 2025 Hiru Modak Vs.
The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Subhro Prakash Lahiri Mr. Debjit Kundu ... for the petitioner Mr. Anirban Banerjee Ms. Pratyusha Datta Chowdhury ... for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court is taken on record.
No one appears on behalf of the respondent No.6 although the State is represented.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Purba Rajarbari N.P. School, Sitalkuchi, Cooch Behar. On 10.01.2025 he prayed for transfer on the ground of distances between place of work and place of residence and severe heart disease of the petitioner. Yet, the same has not been considered by the authority.
It does not appear that there is much delay on the part of the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner's representation.

application for transfer dated 10.01.2025 in accordance with law and at the earliest, preferably within ten weeks from the date of communication of this order.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
It is made clear that the merits of the case have not been gone into.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
