Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has been framed in the case and was not connected with the offences alleged.

However, learned counsel for the State, by placing reliance on the materials in the case diary, including the relevant viscera report and the statement of one of the victims, who had died subsequently, submits that there are several pieces of evidence connecting the petitioner directly with the crime.

Be that as it may, in view of there being sufficient materials to indicate that the petitioner might have been connected directly to the offences-in-question, we decline to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, CRM 296 of 2021 is dismissed.

Trial Court is requested to make all endeavour to expedite the trial.
