Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the forcible rape upon the victim as appearing from her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, we are of the opinion that in view of the gravity of the offence this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
