1. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner be taken on record.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is a primary school teacher at the Kharija Baniadaha S.T. 5th Plan Primary School located at Bamanhat Circle, Dinhata, Cooch Behar. He prayed for transfer on the ground of distance and surplus teacher on 4th February, 2025. Yet, till date, the representation has not been considered.

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the DPSC, Cooch Behar submits that in the event a representation in this regard is pending consideration, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

4. It does not appear that there is inordinate delay in considering the petitioner's representation.

5. However, in the interest of justice, it is expected that the respondent No. 6 would decide the issue of transfer by considering the petitioner's representation dated 4th February, 2025 in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition being WPA 523 of 2025 is disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
