The petitioner alleges that the police did not take any steps in response to the complaint lodged by him.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondents has obtained instruction from the Kotwali Police Station wherefrom it appears that the dispute is in relation to a landed property which was allegedly gifted by the owner of the land to the son of the petitioner.

As it appears that the dispute between the parties relates to immovable properties, accordingly, it will not be proper for the police to interfere in the internal civil disputes of the parties.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the competent civil forum for remedy, if so advised. 5.

The police, however, shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the locale.

Report filed by the Inspector-in-charge, Kotwali Police Station signed on 6th January, 2025 is taken on record.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
