Mr. Aditi Shankar Chakraborty Mr. Kallol Nag ... for State In re : CRAN 1 of 2025 This is an application wherein petitioner has prayed for relaxation of the condition of bail imposed by this Court while granted bail on 04.04.2024 in CRM (A) 226 of 2024. By the said order this Court directed the petitioner to meet with the Officer-in-Charge, Jaigaon Police Station once a fortnight till the charges are framed. Though more than two years have been passed and he is attending and meeting with the concerned Officer-in-Charge in terms of the said order but charge hearing has not been done as yet as accused nos. 3 and 5 are still absconding. Petitioner further submits that the next date is fixed on 7th January, 2026 for production, appearance and execution report of warrant of arrest of accused nos. 3 and 5.

Having considered the submission made on behalf of the petitioner, the trial court is requested to make every

endeavour to make charge hearing at the earliest preferably within a period of one month from the next date of hearing and for that he will be at liberty to split the case record in connection with accused nos. 3 and 5, who are allegedly absconding. Petitioner's prayer for relaxation of conditions imposed in bail order is rejected at this stage. However, he has been given liberty to renew his prayer after charge hearing by the trial court.

Petitioner is directed to inform the Court below at the earliest.

CRAN 1 of 2025 stands disposed of.
