Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Learned Special Officer is also present in Court. The petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. for supply of new electricity connection in the premises in question, occupied by the petitioner. The documents submitted by the petitioner reveals that all necessary formalities have been complied with by the petitioner for taking such connection.

It is submitted on behalf of the distribution company that the company is ready and willing to supply new electricity connection to the petitioner in the property in question.

The report submitted by the Special Officer also demonstrates that the petitioner is in possession of the property.

In view of the above, considering the fact that the distribution company agrees to supply new electric connection to the premises in question, the company is directed to give such supply in the premises within two weeks from the date of communication of this order. Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition and as such the writ petition being WPA 680 of 2020 is disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
