For the State The petitioner undertakes to appropriately affirm and stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the Court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking. The petitioner, who claims to be a primary school teacher, says that he has been needlessly dragged in.
The State refers to the statement of the witnesses, but it does not appear that any serious injury was suffered by any person in course of the incident. Considering the nature of the incident and the petitioner's possible involvement, there may not be any need to take him into custody at this stage. In the event of arrest, the petitioner will be released on bail upon furnishing security of Rs.10,000/- together with personal release bond of equal amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. The petitioner will comply with the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) of the Code.
CRM 5471 of 2020 is disposed of.
