IN Re: CRAN 2 of 2025 1.

The petitioner was granted anticipatory bail on August 17, 2020, inter alia, on the condition that he shall not enter the jurisdiction of Dinhata Women Police Station except for the purpose of investigation and/or attending court proceedings until further orders. The petitioner now seeks relaxation of that condition. He says that he has been scrupulously adhering to the conditions of anticipatory bail. The trial has still not concluded. All the vulnerable witnesses including the victim girl have been examined by the learned Trial Court. His father is critically ill and resides in the family house within the jurisdiction of Dinhata Women Police Station. He would like to see his father and attend to him. 2.

Learned State Advocate fairly tells me that as per his instruction there is no adverse report as regards compliance of the conditions of anticipatory bail by the petitioner. He says that he is unable to make further submission since the case diary is not available with him.

I see that the trial is pending since 2020. There does not appear to be any chance of an early conclusion of the trial. The petitioner has been complying with the conditions of anticipatory bail for the last four and half years. He would like to attend to his ailing father.

Hence, I am inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer and he is now permitted to enter the jurisdiction of Dinhata Women Police Station. However, he shall attend each and every hearing before the learned Trial Court in addition to complying with the other conditions specified in the order dated August 17, 2020. 5.

CRAN 2 of 2025 is, thus, disposed of.
