The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider and dispose of her representation dated 25.02.2026 seeking transfer on medical and distance grounds, in accordance with law. 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that she was appointed as an Assistant Teacher on 19.02.2021 at Lafabari Aided Primary School under Mathavanga-IV, P.O+P.S. Ghoksadanga,

District-Coochbehar, and has since been discharging her duties sincerely in the said post. The petitioner submits that the distance between her residence and the aforesaid school is approximately 53 kilometres and she is required to travel a total distance of about 106 kilometres for commuting to the school and returning to her residence. In view of the aforesaid difficulties and on medical grounds, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 25.02.2026 before the respondent no. 6 seeking transfer to a place nearer to her residence.

Learned Counsel for the respondent authorities submits that the authorities are ready and willing to decide the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2026.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner states that his client shall be satisfied that if the said representation is decided within a time bound manner.

This Court has heard the submissions advanced by the learned Counsel for the parties and has perused the materials placed on record. 7.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the

respondent No.6 to decide the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2026 in accordance with law and the applicable rules within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been called for, all allegations made in the writ petition shall be deemed to have been denied.
