The petitioner undertakes to appropriately stamp the petition as per the Rules within 48 hours of resumption of normal functioning of the court. The petition is taken up through video conference on the basis of such undertaking.
The petitioner complains that a clash between supporters of rival political parties has resulted in exaggerated charges being filed. The State refers some of the injuries received by the victims and says dangerous weapons were brandished at the time.
Considering the nature of the incident and the extent of the injuries, the custodial interrogation of the petitioners may not be necessary.
Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioners will be enlarged on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) each together with personal release bond of equivalent value each to the satisfaction of the arresting officer. In addition, the petitioners will abide by the conditions in Section 438(2) of the Code.
