The complaint of the writ petitioner relates to a letter of resignation from Directorship dated 25th November, 2021 which shows that the petitioner resigned from the Directorship of the company. According to learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the signature in the letter is a forged signature and the petitioner did not write or sign any such document at any point of time.

After hearing learned counsel, the grievance of the writ petitioner may be addressed by giving liberty to the writ petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Police Station, namely, IC, Siliguri Police Station/respondent no.3 with an appropriate complaint.

Since objection has been taken on behalf of the State and the private respondent that the petitioner has not filed any complaint before the proper police authority, this court is of the view that the writ petition

may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the proper Police Station, as stated above, within such time as the petitioner deems appropriate. After lodging such complaint, the police authority shall take expeditious action in terms of the complaint. The petitioner shall also have the liberty of agitating any future grievance in respect of a fresh writ petition. WPA 768 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.

It is made clear that this court has not gone into the merits of this case.
