Although there is a considerable delay on the part of the petitioners in filing the writ petition, considering the nature of the accident and the fact that the husband of the first petitioner died as a result of an unfortunate incident of electrocution, this court deems it fit to direct the Zonal Manager of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited to consider the notice demanding justice sent by the petitioners on 15th June, 2019 and dispose of the same by way of a reasoned order after hearing the petitioner no.1 as well as the other petitioners who are the sons and daughters of the deceased person.

The concerned respondents shall pass the reasoned order within a period of six weeks from today.

The respondents shall have the liberty of bringing on record the internal enquiry reports which were placed before the court today and consider the technical aspects of the matter as urged on behalf of the petitioners. A copy of the reasoned decision shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date on which such decision is passed.

WPA 770 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
