The grievance of the petitioner is that no compensation has been released in favour of the petitioner till date. The petitioner submitted a representation dated January 20, 2025 before the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Jalpaiguri.

The State and the National Highway Authority are represented by their respective learned advocates.

Since a representation has been made it is the duty of the Special Land Acquisition Officer to consider the same in accordance with law.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, WPA 600 of 2025 is disposed by directing the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Jalpaiguri to consider the representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of a server copy of this order along with the copy of the representation dated January 20, 2025.
