1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the principal accused is in custody. The petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He relies on the statements of eye-witnesses/immediate post occurrence witnesses and the bed head ticket of the victim. The allegation is that the victim deaf and dumb girl was taken to a bamboo grove and rape was attempted on her. While the petitioner no. 1 forcibly held her hands, the petitioner no. 2 was standing guard when the attempt was being made. As the locals came to the spot, the miscreants fled away.

3. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
