R Plot No. 3444 and 3446, Khatian No. 159, Mouza- Singimari Pachunirpar, in the district of Coochbehar has been utilised for the purpose of installation of water power pump in the name of New Pipped Water Supply scheme/augmentation scheme/Standalone Project.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the authorities have not yet disbursed the compensation in respect of the said property which has been utilised for the purpose of installation of the water power pump.

The writ has submitted a representation before the District Magistrate and Collector, Coochbehar dated September 13, 2024. The grievance of the

petitioner is that no decision on such representation has been taken by the Collector till date.

The writ petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner.

The State is represented by the learned Additional Government Pleader. He prays for some time to consider the representation of the petitioner and to take steps if the petitioner is otherwise entitled to the relief claimed in the representation.

Without entering into the merits of the claim made in the said representation, WPA 604 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the Collector, Coochbehar being the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated September 13, 2024 and to dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his authorised representatives. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated 13th September, 2024.
