Affidavit filed by the respondent no. 2 be kept with the record. Vide order dated 31st January, 2022 respondent no. 2, Secretary General of the Table Tennis Federation of India has filed an affidavit stating inter alia that according to Rules 23(B) of the

Constitution of the Bengal State Table Tennis Association the executive committee once elected shall hold office as per the present rules, subject to the guidelines of TTFI and according to the Rules 18(A) of the Constitution of the Table Tennis Federation of India, the every general body of Table Tennis Federation of India and its portfolio/office bearer shall hold the office for a period of four years subject to other reservation.

Indisputably the Bengal Table Tennis Association was formed on or about 11th November, 2019. Initially after formation of the Association the office bearers were selected because at the time of formation of Association election could not be perceived. The said Association is working through its office bearers till date. The petitioner is a coach of Table Tennis having degree and qualification issued by the Sports Authority of India(SAI). He wants to be a part of administration of the State Table Tennis Association. As there is no election for last four years raising certain grievances particularly against respondent nos. 4 and 5, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition.

It is submitted by Mr. Prabal Kumar Mukherjee, learned Senior Counsel on behalf of the State that the Association has already fixed the date of second Annual General Meeting on 18th February, 2023. One of the agenda of the said meeting is fixation of a date for holding

election for the post of office bearers and executive committee member of the Association.

In view of such circumstances, the instant writ petition is disposed of on contest with the direction upon the respondents authority to communicate the date of election to the petitioner on the basis of the decision taken in the proposed Annual General Meeting. The petitioner will be permitted to contest the said election, if otherwise he is entitled in accordance with law for being a part of the administration of the Bengal State Table Tennis Association. With the above direction, the instant writ petition is disposed of. The parties are at liberty to act on the server copy of the order. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J.) Srimanta, A.R.(Ct.) Item No. 8.
