The petitioner claims to be the owner of plot no. 6949 under Khatian No. 1543/1 within Mouza Marichbari under the Police Station Pundibari in the District of Coochbehar.

The petitioner states that the aforesaid plot of land of the petitioner was utilized for the purpose of construction of four lane national highway but till date no compensation has been paid to the petitioner in respect of the aforesaid plot. The petitioner claims to have submitted a representation before the Special Land Acquisition Officer which was received by the office of the Special Land Acquisition Officer on 24th December, 2024. The grievance of the petitioner is that no decision on such representation has been communicated to the petitioner till date.

Learned advocate for the State submits that in the representation no plot number has been mentioned for which the State could not take a decision on the representation of the petitioner.

Faced with such situation, Mr. Dey, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for liberty to file a comprehensive representation before the Special Land Acquisition Officer.

In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, the petitioner will be at liberty to submit a comprehensive representation before the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Coochbehar. If such representation is submitted, the Special Land Acquisition Officer shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order.

With the above observations and directions, WPA 621 of 2025 stands disposed of.

No order as to costs.
