The petitioners say that the incident was the outcome of political rivalry. Even the First Information Report will show the same. They pray for pre-arrest bail.

I see from the material in the case diary that the petitioners opened fire on a group of persons. The injured victim has recorded his statement under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicating these petitioners. The petitioners are all named in the FIR. The victim suffered grievous injury as would appear from the medical report.

In view of the nature and gravity of the alleged offence and also seeing that investigation is in progress and charge sheet is yet to be filed, I am not inclined to entertain the petitioners' prayer for anticipatory bail.

CRM (A) 154 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.
