Case No.200 of 2019 dated 02.07.2019 under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 3 of the Dowry Prohibition Act and adding Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code. In the matter of : Pamila Khatun & Ors.

... Petitioners.

Mr. Debasisj Mukhopadhyay.

...for the Petitioners.

Mr. Nilay Chakraborty, Mr. Sourav Ganguly.

.....for the State.

Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Having considered the materials on record prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioners in torturing the victim housewife who committed suicide within one year of marriage, we are of the opinion that in view of the gravity of the offence that this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.
