1. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the non-appointment of a competent Public Prosecutor in respect of a proceeding pending before the Learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, Mal, Jalpaiguri.

2. It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition and in terms of the order dated 5 March, 2026, Mr. Sudipta Saha, Advocate has been appointed as the Public Prosecutor from the panel of Public Prosecutors.

3. In view of the above, nothing survives in the writ petition. Accordingly, WPA/551/2026 stands disposed of.
