1. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-consideration of an application for a new electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that despite having made an application for a new electricity connection, the respondent WBSEDCL has not considered the same.

2. On behalf of WBSEDCL it is submitted that the petitioner has not paid the stipulated charges in accordance with law. It is also submitted that there has been no Occupancy Certificate or

document evidencing possession which has been furnished by the petitioner.

3. In view of the objections raised on behalf of WBSEDCL, WPA/567/2026 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to make necessary statutory payments as sought for by WBSEDCL.

Insofar as the claim for Occupancy Certificate is concerned, the petitioner is directed to produce the necessary documents which WBSEDCL will expeditiously deal with and consider the application for electricity connection in accordance with law.
