Learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed for bail stressing upon the point that in spite of specific direction by a Coordinate Bench of this Court for expeditious trial the matter has not been concluded as yet.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the State that charge has been framed and the trial will commence shortly. Perused the medical report as annexed at page 14 and 15 to the revisional application and the other materials in the case diary and also considering the nature of offence and the materials on record, the prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage.

The learned Special Court (POCSO) is directed to ensure that the trial is concluded as expeditiously as possible. Both the prosecution and the defence will ensure total cooperation with the Court in disposing of the Sessions case at the earliest. The application for bail is, accordingly, rejected.
