1. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-fixing of a date of hearing in respect of a show cause notice dated 17 February, 2026 which had been issued by the respondent authorities.

2. It is submitted by the petitioner that despite seizure of his vehicle and issuance of the above show cause notice, no date of hearing has been fixed by the respondent authorities. On this ground, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking appropriate directions for fixing of a date of hearing.

3. On behalf of the respondent authorities, a communication dated 23 April, 2026 is filed in Court, whereby

the respondent authorities have intimated the petitioner that the date of hearing in respect of the subject show cause notice is 30 April, 2026 at 12 p.m.

4. In view of above, nothing survives in the writ petition, WPA/623/2026 stands disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to act in accordance with law and bring the proceedings to their logical conclusion.

5. It is made clear that there has been no adjudication on the merits of the case and all issues are left open for the respondent authorities to decide in accordance with law.

6. It is also submitted on behalf of the respondent authorities that the date of hearing has been intimated to the petitioners subsequently via e-mail.
