The petitioner says that this complaint is a counter-blast. The wife of the defacto complainant had issued a cheque in his favour. When the cheque was dishonoured, the petitioner sent a demand notice. Upon receipt of the notice, this false complaint was lodged. He prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned State Advocate, with reference to the material in the case diary shows me that the present written complaint was made on February 29, 2025 whereas the demand notice was sent by the petitioner allegedly on March 15, 2025. 3.

Therefore, I see that the contention of the petitioner that the present complaint is a counter-blast is incorrect. 4.

It further appears that the petitioner induced the wife of the defacto complainant to sign eleven blank cheques and hand them over to the petitioner. The defacto complainant's wife did so

in good faith, although the same was not a wise thing to do. People like the petitioner are dangerous for the society. They cheat unsuspecting people by playing confidence trick. 5.

In view of the prima facie material against the petitioner, although charge sheet may have been filed, I am not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for anticipatory bail. 6.

CRM (A) 219 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.
