1. Pursuant to the order dated 27 April, 2026, a detailed and comprehensive Report filed on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Siliguri Police Commissionerate be kept with the records. A copy of the same is handed over to the petitioner.

2. In view of the Report, no further purpose would be served in proceeding with this writ petition. WPA/626/2026 stands disposed of.

3. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary action in term of the said Report if so advised in accordance with law.

4. The concerned Police authorities are also directed to act in terms of the Report and

bring the investigation to its logical conclusion as expeditiously as possible.
