Report dated 11.06.2025 submitted by the learned advocate appearing for State be kept with the record. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner prays for bail in view of the long detention of the petitioner since his arrest on 09.10.2024. Learned advocate prays for bail of the petitioner on any stringent condition.

On the other hand, learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report which reflects that evidence of two witnesses are only left for being examined which includes the Medical Officer (CSW-6) and the Investigating Officer of the case.

Having considered the advanced stage of the trial, I direct the learned Special Court to conclude the evidence of the prosecution preferably by 30th July, 2025. At this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for bail, being CRM (DB) 201 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.

Registrar, Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court at Jalpaiguri will communicate this order to the learned Special Court.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
