On the prayer of the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner, leave is granted to the learned advocate on record to implead the West Bengal Board of Primary Education as a party respondent in this writ petition. Let such amendment be carried out, here and now.

The petitioner who is an Assistant Teacher in a primary school at Siliguri filed an application before the various authorities including the President, West Bengal Board of Primary Education seeking transfer to her home District within the circle of Hooghly District. The petitioner alleges that though a representation was submitted long back but no decision on such representation has been communicated to the petitioner till date.
It appears from the writ petition that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 12th December, 2024. However, till date no decision on such representation appears to have been taken.
Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioner for transfer, WPA 690 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the President, West Bengal Board of Primary Education to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12th December, 2024 in terms of the relevant rules and to pass a reasoned order. In case the said authority decides in favour of the petitioner consequential steps shall also be taken thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of
this order along the copy of the representation dated 12th December, 2024.
No order as to costs.
Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
