1. Affidavit of service is taken on record.

2. The President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is directed to dispose of the issue referred to him by the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Cooch Behar, vide Memo No.1616/CC/2023 dated March 23, 2023.

3. The managing committee of the school had already approved the payment of full salary to the petitioner who

had been reinstated after being acquitted from a criminal case.

4. It is submitted that a lumpsum amount had been paid to the petitioner. The school authorities referred the matter to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Cooch Behar and the District Inspector of Schools (SE) forwarded the matter to the President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education for necessary orders and directions. The matter relates to the livelihood of the petitioner. Thus, there is an urgency that the matter should be disposed of by the President, West Bengal Board of Secondary Education on an emergent basis. The documents forwarded by the Headmaster, Tufanganj N.N.M. High School have also been forwarded to the President.

5. The matter should be disposed of by the President of the Board within a month from the date of communication of this order. If necessary, the President may grant a hearing to the petitioner, to the Headmaster of the school and any other person or authority, as he may deem fit and proper.

6. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to all, within a week from the date of disposal of the matter by the President.

7. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

8. There shall be no order as to costs.

9. Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
