It is submitted that the entire compensation amount for the whole district of Jalpaiguri has been deposited in Bhoomi Rashi Portal and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has directed the Competent Authority of Land Acquisition (in short, 'CALA'), Jalpaiguri for disbursing the amount to individuals
from out of whole compensation money deposited in the Bhoomi Rashi Portal towards their individual compensation. The order under contempt directed the State respondents to inform the petitioner about the receipt of the compensation amount on having received the same.
Since the whole of the compensation amount for the entire district of Jalpaiguri, which includes the compensation amount for the petitioner, has been deposited, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this contempt application. The contempt proceeding is, therefore, dropped without passing any further order. The contempt petition is accordingly disposed of. (Arindam Mukherjee, J.)
