The petitioner, who is an Assistant Teacher of a High School in the District of Alipurduar, has prayed for transfer to a school which is near to her residence through Utsoshree Portal.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the prayer for transfer was rejected by the school authority on the ground that the quota has already been completed. He further submits that in the meantime several other teachers have joined and as such there is no impediment on the part of the school authority to consider the prayer of the petitioner for transfer.

Heard the learned advocate appearing for the State and the School Service Commission.

The learned advocate appearing for the School Service Commission submits that if the petitioner applies for transfer in a prescribed form through off line mode, the same can be considered by the authorities in accordance with law.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the parties, WPA 699 of 2025 is disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to apply for transfer through off line mode in prescribed format. If such application is filed the authority shall consider the same and take necessary steps in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

No order as to costs.
