The petitioner seeks consideration of the representation dated 10th March, 2025 addressed to the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Cooch Behar for payment of compensation on account of acquisition of the land for construction of Highway.

Without entering into the merit of the said application, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no. 2, the Special Acquisition Officer, Cooch Behar to consider the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 3.

A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner.

An opportunity of hearing shall also be granted prior to passing the final order.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 10th March, 2025 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court. 6.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
