The petitioner who is presently functioning as an Assistant Teacher in a primary school in the District of Cooch Behar, has prayed for transfer on medical ground. Such prayer has been made before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education by a representation dated December 16, 2024, which is annexed at page 36 of the writ petition.

The grievance of the petitioner is that no decision with regard to the prayer of the petitioner for transfer, has been communicated to the petitioner till date.

Mr. Biswas, learned advocate representing the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, submits that the decision on such representation shall be taken and communicated to the petitioner within the time limit that may be fixed by this Court. In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the respective parties, without entering into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in the representation dated December 16, 2024, WPA 715 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, being the 4th respondent herein, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated December 16, 2024 and to dispose of the same in accordance with law by passing a reasoned order. If such authority decides in favour of the petitioner, consequential steps in that regard shall be taken by such authority. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a

copy of the representation dated December 16, 2024.
