Records reveal that on 8th August, 2022 when the matter was taken up, Ms. Smita Sinha (Mitra) appeared on behalf of the petitioners. It was submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the senior counsel engaged by the petitioners, namely, Sunil Kumar Sarkar had expired some days back. Considering such submission, the matter was adjourned till the next Circuit. The matter again appeared on 4th January, 2023 when the same was directed to go out of list as no one appeared on behalf of the petitioners. The matter again appeared in the list on 1st April, 2024 when no one appeared on behalf of the petitioners and the matter was directed to appear under the heading 'motion' before the next available Circuit Bench.

The matter has been listed in this Circuit Bench.

No one appears on behalf of the petitioners. No adjournment is sought for by the petitioners. No one has also applied for virtual link to represent the petitioners in this writ petition.

The chain of events show that the petitioners are no more interested to proceed with the matter and as such, are found to be not present on three consecutive dates.

The writ petition is therefor, dismissed for default. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
