Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner prays for bail on the ground of health of the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the State produces a report filed by the Superintendent of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Perused the case diary as well as the report. Considering the offence wherein 490 grams of brown sugar has been seized and the materials in the case diary against the petitioner, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the application is rejected.

However, the Superintendent, Siliguri Correctional Home is requested to produce the petitioner, before the Superintendent of

North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, who will take all necessary precautions and provide appropriate medical treatment to the petitioner.
