The petitioner who is presently serving as an Assistant Teacher in a girls High School in the district of Coochbehar has prayed for transfer to a school near to her residence.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the school authority has already given the noobjection with regard to the prayer of the petitioner for transfer. He submits that the school authority has not forwarded the application to the D.I.

Heard Mr. Saha, learned Additional Government Pleader and Mr. Ray, learned Advocate for the School Service Commission on such submission.

WPA 739 of 2025 is disposed of by directing the school authority to forward the application of the petitioner for transfer to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Coochbehar as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The D.I. (SE), Coochbehar being the 5th respondent shall consider the said application and take necessary steps in accordance with law with regard to the prayer for transfer.

With the above observations and directions WPA 739 of 2025 stands disposed of.
