Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. There was a previous relationship between the petitioner and the victim. The petitioner and the victim are next door neighbours. He submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year and 11 months. The police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the medical report of the victim and the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Considering the materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner including the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure

Code as well as her medical report, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 164 of 2022 is dismissed.
