. . .For the State.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging police inaction on the basis of a complaint dated February 13, 2019.

It appears that the allegation is that some persons claiming to be relatives of the petitioners had borrowed Rs.9,00,000/- (Nine lakhs) from the petitioners and thereafter refused to refund the same. According to the petitioners, when the petitioners asked for repayment, the petitioners were abused and also threatened.

Accordingly, the petitioners filed a complaint. The police authorities allegedly have not taken any steps in the matter. This dispute as per the complaint is in the nature of a civil dispute with regard to the lending of money and refusal to repay the same.

However, in future if in the course of such transaction any assault or criminal intimidation or other offence is caused to the petitioners, the petitioners will be entitled to seek appropriate remedy available in law. With the aforesaid observation this writ petition is disposed of without any order as to costs. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates appearing for the parties expeditiously on compliance of all requisite formalities.
