Party/parties is/are represented in the order of their name/names as printed above in the cause-title. Mr. Bhowmik, Learned Counsel for the petitioner, prays for renewal of his prayer for extension of the bail as granted by the Hon'ble Court on the 13th of May, 2022.
Mr. Bhowmik submits that inadvertently one of the conditions of bail as imposed upon the petitioner to meet the Investigating Officer (I.O.) once in a fortnight until further orders could not be
complied with. The petitioner mistakenly met the Duty Officer of the Police Station instead of I.O.
Mr. Chakraborty, Learned Counsel for the State, submits that the story of the petitioner is concocted and there is no evidence of the petitioner having met the Duty Officer.
Having heard the parties and considering the materials placed, this Court directs the petitioner to meet the I.O. once in every month and also whenever called by the I.O. to attend the investigation until the Report in final form is filed.
Pursuant to the Order of this Court dated 5th of September, 2022, the present I.O. Mr. Arijit Kundu is present in Court and his presence stands dispensed with.
CRM (NDPS) 164 of 2022 stands accordingly disposed of. All parties are to act on a server copy of this order duly obtained from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
