Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the statement of the minor victim. Petitioner was an elderly person and was referred as grandfather in the locality. He had dragged the victim and committed rape on her.

In view of gravity of the offence and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
