The proceeding is inter alia under Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner relies upon a deposition dated September 1, 2018 where the deponent stated that she cannot name the miscreants. The State is represented.

The trial is yet to be concluded.

As the prayer for bail is simplicitor on the basis of the statement in cross-examination that too of September 1, 2018, which is yet to be assessed in trial, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

As such, the prayer for bail is rejected.

The application being CRM 643 of 2021 accordingly dismissed.
