Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of the matrimonial suit being no.148 of 2017 pending before the learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, Jalpaiguri. It appears that the matrimonial suit was filed in 2017 is pending till date.

Service of notice upon the opposite party in this case is not necessary since the parties will not stand to lose if the suit is disposed of expeditiously.

In fact, expeditious disposal of the suit shall enure to the benefit of both the parties. In view of the above, the application being CO 69 of 2024 is allowed.

The learned Additional District Judge, 3rd Court, Jalpaiguri is directed to dispose of the matrimonial suit being no. 148 of 2017 pending before him within three months from the next date fixed for hearing before him, in accordance with law.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
