1. The petitioner's representation praying for reinstatement in service as Home Guard is pending consideration at the end of the respondent authority.

Without going into the merit of the same, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Superintendent of Police, Jalpaiguri District being the respondent no. 3 herein to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

3. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
