Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that they were arrested on 04.10.2024 and since then they are in custody. Allegedly there has been recovery of 307.3 grams of brown sugar. Additionally it has been submitted that investigation of the case has been concluded and charges have also been framed by the learned Special Court. As such, further detention of the petitioners is unwarranted in view of the long incarceration being suffered by them.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, submits that the investigating agency has completed the investigation, steps have been taken for framing of

charges and there are about eight witnesses proposed by the prosecution to be examined in course of the trial. Having considered the stage of the case and the court has fixed date on 14.07.2025, I direct the learned Trial Court to fix the next schedule for examination of CSW-4 and CSW5 who are independent witnesses to the seizure list. Petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court for renewal of bail immediately after the evidence of CSW-4 and CSW-5 is over.

Learned Trial Court would take steps so that the evidence of CSW-4 and CSW-5 is over by 08.08.2025. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner at this stage is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 181 of 2025, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
