Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioners are in custody for near about 8 months and till date there has been no progress in the case, although charge sheet has been submitted within the statutory period.

Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, submits that 514 gms. of Brown Sugar were seized from the joint possession of the petitioner and others.

Having regard to the quantum of contraband so seized, at this stage, I am not inclined to consider the prayer for bail of the petitioner. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after the stage of consideration of charges are over.

Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 188 of 2025 is dismissed.

Learned Trial Court would ensure that on the next date at least the stage of supply of copies are over. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
