The father of the petitioner was a volunteer in West Bengal National Volunteer Force; he died-in-harness on February 6, 2008.

The petitioner, one of the sons of the said deceased employee, is praying compassionate appointment. The elder brother of the petitioner has already given such appointment. One of the members of the family of the deceased employee since has already been given compassionate appointment, another member of the family is not entitled to such appointment, WPA 1051 of 2025 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
